What customers say?

“ Visited with a group of friends and absolutely loved it. I had the vegan option, and it was incredible. Such tasty plant based cheese! The selection of wine was fantastic, and the owner was wonderful - so friendly and funny! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. ”

“ I went with a friend last night as we had heard great things about the cheese and wine experience, and it certainly did not disappoint!! If I could rate it 10 out of five stars, I would. Lianne, who runs the cafe, was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating that we were blown away. We had a sharing platter with wines to accompany and it was so lovely - although there is also the option to choose cheeses or wines individually and do your own thing, if you want to, which is really nice, as inevitably there are cheeses on the board that don't appeal to some. Not the case here though - all were lovely and I even found a blue cheese i liked, which has never happened before, despite liking strong cheeses! Lianne accommodated our requests and even went 'off-piste' for us, something we were very lucky to experience as we went in early, whilst it was quiet. Will definitely go again and take others with me, and encourage more to try it out. A very very welcome addition to Ipswich and it's eateries/dining experiences. ”

“ I’ve just been here and every time I visit I’m even more delighted. The food is just phenomenal, the owners are epic wonderful people and the price you pay for the quality of what you get is outstanding. Whenever I’m in this end of town at breakfast time I will make my way here and I’m never disappointed- I highly recommend a visit!! ”

“ Five stars all day long! One of the best Full English Breakfasts I've ever had, with special mention to the black pudding and sausage, which were excellent and quite simply the best I've ever tried. It is clear that this is cooked with dedication, using very high quality ingredients. Even the beans taste carefully home cooked (as opposed to the usual sugary stuff from a can), and the mushroom and hash, also off the charts. The same excellence repeats on the drinks! Delicious black coffee and hot chocolate. I had a second coffee somewhere else later today and kept remembering how good this one was in comparison. Coming back for sure! ”

“ We had such a wonderful evening here. We were late arriving due to taxi issues but they were very understanding and held our table for us. The service was very warm and friendly and the options were brilliant. The food was presented beautifully and was so delicious. It was great trying all the different cheeses and we asked them to choose a wine for us which was such a great accompaniment. The choice is great and the value is amazing. We are already looking to book again. ”

“ So good! The fondue was fantastic (I ordered extra) and I also got the truffle honey and dried apricots to go with the normal dipping bits. Such a good choice; delicious. ”

“ I had breakfast and coffee at this lovely welcoming cafe on St Nicholas Street. I had work to do, so hooked up to the WiFi and settled myself in a cosy corner. The scrambled eggs on toast were perfect. I'm really fussy about scrambled eggs and these were flavoursome, the right texture and perfectly seasoned. The coffee was great and the owners friendly and engaging. I would go so far as to say that this is the perfect cafe. Nice decor, comfy seats, good music and even a shelf of books should you feel the need. I'll be back. ”
